Conceptual Requirements:
For this project you are asked to create your own virtual pet software program. Your pet must be interactive. Think about the"relationship" you want to encode between the user and the pet--who is ordering who around? How can you make your pet respond in ways that make it seem more alive? You may wish to use the "random" function in lingo to build unpredictablity into you pet. Virtual pets are very popular in Japan and you may look to toys like "Nano-Kitty" and "Pokeman" for inspiration.
Technical Requirements:
You must use
lingo. You must expand in some way from the example nano-pet script provided
in class--do not simply paste in your own cast members. Your pet must be a small
enough file to play as a Shockwave file. (It should not include large audio
files or quicktime movies.)
